讲座内容摘要 | We develop a dynamic dual-channel inventory model where a seller can close the indirect channel once during the planning horizon, incorporating a potential spillover effect that reflects customer switching across channels. By formulating the seller’s problem as a Markov Decision Process (MDP), we characterize the optimal fulfillment, replenishment, and channel closure decisions. In particular, we show that the optimal inventory policy follows either a base-stock policy or a dual-index base-stock policy. We also derive an inventory-dependent rule for the optimal timing of indirect channel closure: when the spillover effect is absent or strong, the optimal timing adheres to a reverse-threshold policy; when the spillover effect is moderate, the timing decision becomes more complex. We further propose a heuristic to enhance computational efficiency and derive sufficient conditions under which this method yields optimal joint decisions. | ||
